Holly Brown has always been focused on helping people to have a better life. Her parents instilled this in her at an early age. It probably was why she went into law enforcement originally and why she is finding so much enjoyment as a professional esthetician and business leader today.
After retiring from her first career she directed her talents to helping a friend who had started a spa. She quickly discovered that she loved the field and when the opportunity came to expand, Holly jumped at the chance to become an esthetician.
Her friend told her about Spa Tech Institute in Plymouth and when she visited the school, she knew it was the place for her. Holly’s husband and friends were also supportive of her decision and felt that it would be a good next step in her life and career. She quickly discovered that she had a lot in common with other students and teachers and found going to school at Spa Tech Institute to be a positive, life changing experience.
Having completed the 7 month full-time program, getting her license and working in the field for several years, she decided that she was ready to open her own business. She felt that the school gave her the skills and confidence she needed to have a successful business. She looks forward to hiring Spa Tech Institute graduates in the future because she knows that the quality of their education prepares them to be successful right away.
Holly set up her business as a non-profit to help people who were dealing with cancer and other medical issues. Her training at the school using natural skin care products and procedures gave her a deep appreciation of the need for this work. She is creating a patient centered healing and education experience that helps her clients during one of life’s greatest challenges.
Holly has clearly found her calling in life that allows her to give service to those in need as well as have a career in the healing arts that she loves. As is often said at the school, “When you do work you love, you are living your genius.”
We are very proud to have Holly representing our school as a graduate and honored she is this month’s Graduate Spotlight.
