What if I can’t afford massage school?
Federal Financial Aid and interest free payment plans are available to those who qualify and full and part time hybrid schedules exist so can keep working while you train. It’s an investment in a lifelong career doing meaningful work.
Am I too old to start a new career?
If you are physically able to stand and use your hands, age should not be an issue. In fact we see many people in their 50's and 60's who enter the field when they retire from their prior occupation. The reality is that doing this work is one of the best ways to have a healthy retirement that is vital and meaningful.
What if I’m not naturally good at massage?
Very rarely do we have students who are drawn to this work who find out that it's not a good match. If you have a natural tendency to massage people or pet animals to help them relax, you are probably going to thrive when you learn the science and the techniques that tranform your intuitive touch into professional sessions.
Can I really balance this with work and family?
Every person's situation is unique and our Admissions Officers will go over the schedules with you to determine if it will work with your life. The full and part time hybrid schedules reduce the time you have to commute and allow most people to find an option that works.
I’m worried I won’t pass the licensing exam—what if I fail?
If you have challenges with test taking, you may find that you are more successful when it's a subject that you are passionate about and it's taught along with the hands on learning that makes it more tangible. In the event that you want to take one of the national massage exams, there are test prep exams available and you can always take the exam more than once.
