Graduate Spotlight September 2016 Sue Leveille
Albert Quintero • March 19, 2017
Sue Leveille is a 2009 graduate of the 600 hour evening aesthetics career program here at Spa Tech Institute. Sue stays very busy working within the health and wellness industry. She is an instructor in our aesthetics career program, she works as an aesthetician and nail tech at Diva Professionals in Salem, NH and she is currently enrolled full time in Spa Tech Institute’s therapeutic massage program.
Sue embarked on her career path later in life than many, but she does not feel it has held her back in any way. She was always interested in the field of beauty but thought it was only about hairdressing. While working as a waitress and hostess in Haverhill, MA back in 2007 a coworker suggested she look into aesthetics. She had no idea there were so many aspects to this field. A second coworker, Cindy Berard, was studying holistic massage at Spa Tech Institute and thought Sue would love it here. She ultimately enrolled in the 600 hour aesthetics career program and graduated in 2009. She has worked in the aesthetics field ever since and joined the Spa Tech Institute staff as an instructor in 2011.
Sue is passionate about her work providing aesthetic services, lash extensions, spray tanning, manicures and pedicures at Diva Professionals Total Beauty in Salem, New Hampshire. She enjoys helping people feel good about themselves and brings her experience from the spa into the classroom at every opportunity. This makes for a valuable teaching experience for her students.
On teaching Sue says, “I love working at Spa Tech Institute because I love giving back through my teaching and sharing my passion for the beauty and wellness industry.” She enjoys being part of a great team!
Sue’s love for the beauty and wellness industry motivated her to pursue her therapeutic massage license. She is currently attending Spa Tech Institute full time during the day. She enjoys being a student again and loves the small class size and the individualized attention she receives. It brings back memories of when she was a student in the aesthetics program.
Sue always likes to challenge herself and loves to learn new things. She states that she recently came to the realization that attending the massage program is making her a better aesthetician too because her massage techniques and her knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the body has greatly improved. Sue recognizes the value of being multi-licensed and continuing her education. She is always looking for new and innovative ways to add to her bag of tools.
Sue currently lives in New Hampshire with her husband, three dogs and a cat. They love outdoor activities such as boating and camping. Sue welcomes new clients and can be reached at Diva Professionals at 603-890-8912.
