Transfers

There may be times when you question if you are in the right program for you and think that by transferring to another program in the school you will be happier. This is usually not a good idea for the following reasons.
Sometimes it may be that there is another issue at play. Talk to your teacher and the Director of Education and tell them you are thinking of transferring and see if they can help you identify any underlying issues that may be causing this desire.
A lot of times it is the “Grass is greener on the other side of the fence” syndrome
You are better off finishing what you started. Transferring is equivalent to quitting and often is part of a pattern that comes from commitment issues. By facing this issue head on and completing the program you started it can actually help give you a more productive behavior pattern for your future.
Often times it will cost you more money. This happens due to refund policies that affect students loans.
It may also postpone your graduation date.
So if after reading this you still want to transfer to a different program, talk to your Director of Education. They will be able to help you gain clarity and direction.
